I am an experienced golf coach of 43 years.  I have taught every standard of player from juniors through to county and European Tour players.  I am proud of my career to date, driven to serve and thoroughly enjoy helping people reach their true potential.

I have owned and managed my own professional shops for 28 years and overseen the continual progress in the quality of stock, customer service and competitiveness of my outlets.

I have excellent communication skills and believe in listening. I am a good problem solver and am diplomatic where required.  My instinct is to help and to put people at ease.

I am positive and enthusiastic, an attitude I carry into both my career and my life.

Career History:

 

Sept 2013 - Present:

Ealing Golf Club - Active promotion and management of new and potential club members.

European Tour - Touring with and assisting European Tour players, Mikael Lundberg and Andrew Johnston.

 

 May 1989 – Sept 2013 : Class AT Head professional at Sudbury Golf Club, Middlesex.

A busy traditional private members club with many societies, matches and visitors. I maintained a fully stocked shop and was responsible for the collection of green fees and competition fees. I formulated teaching and promotional packages and established successful ladies, men’s and junior academies. I also provided training for my assistants to PGA qualifying success.  My coaching successes included assisting Warren Bennett to winning the Challenge Tour Order of merit in 1998 and coaching the runner-up in the 1998 English Amateur Championship. I was appointed the Middlesex County Men's first team coach and all age group categories including the Middlesex Junior Girls. I secured deals for sponsorship with BMW, Canon, Ford, Toyota, and Srixon.  I was also acting professional to Harrow School Golf Club for several years.

 

June 1983 – May 1989 : Class A Golf Club Professional at Meyrick Park Golf Club, Bournemouth

At the age of 22, I became the youngest PGA Club Professional in the country.  This was a role at a very busy municipal course, with two member's clubs attached.  My duties included providing a fully stocked professional shop with repair service. I built up a golf instruction school with classes for local businesses, schools, members and visitors, as well as traditional one-to-one instruction.  I also organised the professional tournaments in the Bournemouth area.

 

June 1978 – June 1983 : Senior Assistant Professional, Queens Park Golf Club, Bournemouth

Benefitted from full training in merchandising, club repair and tuition.  I initiated Golf tuition for local schools, adult education, language schools, members and guests, as well as conducting my duties as an assistant professional
